Drama-rama!

Going through the pictures on my computer last week, I discovered this little gem of a video taken when Kasia was only a few months old. It illustrates my next point perfectly.

My daughter is a drama queen.

Why? How did it happen? Maybe it's the wonky chromosome - could that additional genetic material contain extra drama?? Was it all that ABBA I listened to while I was pregnant? Sparkly jumpsuits are rather dramatic and so is that line, "can you hear the drums Fernando?" Did I watch too much Entertainment Tonight? Did the voice of Mary Hart somehow pass into my womb and inject theatrics into my beloved fetus? Could it have been the California salads I craved while pregnant? Was there more to them than their yummy raisins, nuts and mandarin dressing? Something else that not only nourished my child but also imparted her with a dash of Hollywood melodrama?

No matter where it came from, one thing is certain: Kasia has been overly dramatic from the very beginning and injects a certain flair into everything she does. She's been called a card, a ham, a clown and a prima donna - none of which even come close to touching on how completely dramatic she can be.

And there is no better evidence of it than the following video. Whenever I need a good laugh, I go back and watch it. Please forgive my dorky voice and cackling laughter and the fact that I let her cry just a little too long before turning off the camera!

That chin! That lower lip! It's enough to break your heart!

When she wins her Oscar, I hope she remembers to thank her mom!

Ha! I hope so too Julia.

By the way, I miss your blog :(

I blabbed a bit too much about the blog and a nosy sister-in-law found it!! It was a little too raw for family, so I took it down. I'm going to start over soon (but with more anonymity...and I'm going to keep my big fat mouth shut about it!). I'll let you know when I'm up and running.

I missed YOUR blog, too! I was really worried when it was gone. Glad you're still here, and that Kasia is going well.

Bah ha!! I had to change the address of my blog for the same reason...to shake an unwanted nosy reader that I shouldn't have given the adress to in the first place!
