Thanks Julia. Yup, made the cake. Embarassed to say it took me something like 8 hours. One layer broke on me, I wrecked one batch of vanilla custard filling, and if that wasn't enough, after spending 2 hours icing it Kasia decided that what it really needed was to be stabbed multiple times with a shishkebob skewer that she apparently had stashed away for just such an occasion.
It was yummy though.

Wow - 4 years old! I love the pictures. She is too cute in that tiara! Does she insist on wearing it all the time? I would if I were her. But I have to ask what is that contraption she's on - some kind of exercise machine? I have never seen anything like it. It looks a bit like that Gazelle thing the guy advertises on those late night infomercials.
