3. It's Dairy Queen Miracle Treat Day! All proceeds from every Blizzard go to the Hospital for Sick Children. (As if I need an excuse to eat ice cream....) Did you know they have a Pumpkin Pie Blizzard???
2. Today my mom gave Kasia a blanket that she crocheted years ago and stored away. As luck would have it, it matches Kasia's new bedroom colour scheme perfectly and will make an excellent blanket for a cozy afternoon nap.
1. The number one thing that made me smile:
Kasia is FINALLY 20 pounds!!!
When I saw those numbers on the scale today at her doctor's appointment, I almost cried. Instead we shouted hooray and did a little dance. (Why doesn't anyone cheer when I gain weight?) The picture is of her and my mom.

First of all - Yay Kasia!! 20 pounds - a great milestone for her. Maybe it was your girls weekend that pushed her over the top.
Your list is a great idea. If it's ok with you I think I'll steal it tomorrow. I've found it hard to find things to smile about today so it will give me something to aim for.
The lilies are spectacular, the picture of Kasia sleeping is way too cute, a pumpkin pie blizzard - that just made my turn a bit and a husband that cooked you dinner. Sounds like a great day!

Hooray on her weight gain. Like you, I don't undderstand why no one ever cheers when I gain weight. Hmmmphhhhhh. I love your lilies. I am a big fan of them. Mine are a beautiful orange colour that I have seldom seen. I took pictures but Barbara thinks that my camamar kapput. It just won't upload/download (?) Oh, well! I lost so many beautiful pictures, most of them of Bennett.
Kasia (I finally learned how to spell her name correctly!) looks so beautiful and delicate sleeping with her teddy. I hope that Bennett and Kasia get together again and teach each other more fine arts of getting into trouble!
Oh, by the way. There is such a thing as pumpkin iceream .... YUCKKKKK. My niece bought some.
It still gives me the shivers.

Thank you so much for leaving your thoughts on weight gain. I think I may have been freaking out a bit much. Luckily, there are all these wonderful people out there on the internet who help you out when you go through a freak out!
