The day didn't exactly start out great (we had a huge throwing up incident in the truck on the way to nursery school this morning), but it's turned out to be a pretty happy Halloween after all.
This was the first year we actually took Kasia trick or treating and boy.....she LOVED it! After the first couple of houses, she really started to get into it - she'd wait at the door but as soon as it would open, she'd burst inside and yell "Candy!"

I'm so glad your day turned around and Kasia had fun trick or treating. I hope next year Bennett will be into it a bit more and hopefully virus free!
Once again I just have to say she's too cute!
Oh yeah - I forgot to add - the part about bursting in asking for candy is too funny! I can just see her doing it...
And not only did she burst in and ask for candy, but once inside she'd sneak her little hand into the candy bowls and start making the transfer to her own little pumpkin pail!
For only going to 5 or 6 houses, she sure came home with quite the haul in that little pail! I also found a giant Hershey bar and a $5 bill in there too!

I'm going trick or treating in your neighbourhood next year. 5 dollar bills are huge chocolate bars!!!!!! Kasia must have been some cute bee. She is just the cutest little bee I've EVER seen! The thoughts of Bennett and Kasia going trick or treating TOGETHER on Halloween just scares the heck out of me. No one will be able to resist those two. I suggest that you and Barbara should plan to bring Bennett's little wagon to haul the goodies in next year. That little girl knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go for it. Way to go Kasia. (watch out with your mommy and daddy, they might / will try to steal some of your goodies. I kid you not)
Like Barbara said, I love the part where she barges in and asks (demands?) candy.
